My name is Maxi Weismantel, online better known as max wise and being born in an artist family in Germany, I tried many different things out on my journey, just to eventually get back to being artist again!

2014 I started studying german and english literature in Rostock but eventually changed universities to study Interior Architecture in Wismar.
During that time I developed my love for health and fitness and started working part time as a fitness coach at a local gym.

In July 2022 I finally graduated with a Bachelores Degree in Arts for Interior Architecture and actually won second place of honor for junior archtects for my bachelors project.
Despite this success I already knew at the end of my university time, that I did not actually want to pursue Interior Architecture, since I re-discovered my love for art and illustration again.

Instead I started working part time as a fitness coach again and moved to Leipzig.
I started my Tattoo Apprenticeship at Thorns & Spines in May 2024 and finished it in July 2026!
Since then I finally took the step to become a full time artist, working half of the week from home on my personal art and commission work and the other half at the tattoo shop.
Now I am happy to be part of a few of the biggest german conventions a year, tattoo, ship orders from my beautiful studio and get to create art everyday!
